Pakistan Army offers different nature of career opportunities to the young graduates of Pakistan every year.  Intermediate and graduated students are enlisted in Pakistan army as officers through various induction programs.  They are ranked as second lieutenant or captain after successful completion of the respective course.  Advertisements for Jobs in Pakistan Army are published in national newspapers.  These courses or commissions are detailed as under:

 PMA Long Course

PMA Long course is one of the famous ways to get commission in Pakistan Army.  Most of the students join Pakistan Army through PMA Long Course.  PMA Long course are advertised twice in a year.  That applicant having Intermediate with 60 percent mark or 50 % marks in intermediate plus 60 % marks in BA, BSc or B.Com can apply for Pakistan Army Jobs. The applicant should be aged from 17 years to 22 years.  For graduate the age limit is 17 to 23 years while those having four years bachelor degree i.e. B.S degree, for them the age limit is 17 years to 24 years.  Serving personals are allowed to apply for PMA long course up to the age of 25. Age restriction is relaxable for 3 months both in upper and lower age limit in all cases. After recommended for the course the applicant referred to PMA for training at Kakol, Abbottabad. Upon Successful completion of the course, the rank of sub-lieutenant is given to the cadet and is conferred with a B.A orB.Sc. degree.  

i.                    Commission in Armed Forces Nursing Service

Permanent Regular Commission as AFNS ( B.Sc Nursing )  are offered in Pakistan Army.  The Duration of Training is 4 years at AFPGMI Rawalpindi. The minimum qualification required for this commission is Matriculation with Science 1st Division and F.Sc (Pre-medical) with 50% Marks (Minimum.  The age limit is from 17-25 years. The candidate should be Un-married female or a widow/ separated Divorcee without encumbrances. The minimum height should be 5 feet 2 inches.

ii.                  Commission for Male as General Duty Medical Officers

Pakistan Army offers jobs opportunities for medical graduates as General Duty Medical Officers Specialists, Doctors Veterinary Medicine and Psychologist.  This is a Short Service Regular Commission or Direct Short Service Commission in Pakistan Army. Those having MBBS degree and are not more than 28 years old having height of 5 feet and 2 inches in case of male and 5 feet and 4 inches in case male candidates are eligible to apply for this commission.

iii.                Commission as Classified Specialists as Majors

Classified Specialists jobs are offered to those professionals who are having MBBS with postgraduate qualifications i.e. FCPS, FRCS or MS in respective fields of specialties.  They should not be more than 32 years of age.  Age relaxation is applicable only in individual cases and on the recommendation of General Head Quarters Selection Board, Rawalpindi.  

iv.                Jobs as WOMEN COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

Jobs are also available for female candidates in the fields of Instructional and Staff Appointments for Grant of Direct Short Service Commission in the Army. v.                  Jobs for Psychologist (Male)

Those having Master degree in Psychology with 2nd division and are aged 28 years which is relaxable in individual cases having higher qualification and experience. The height for Female candidates should be 5 Feet & 2 inches and for Male candidates, it should be 5 Feet & 4 inches.

vi.                Computer Jobs in Pakistan Army (Information and Telecommunication Officers jobs)

Candidates having MS or MSc (18 years of educations) or B.E or B.Sc. (16 years education) in the discipline of Electrical,   Telecommunication, Computer System, or Computer Software Engineering or Information Security can get short service commission in Pakistan Army.  The qualification should be acquired form a PEC or HEC recognized university or college in Pakistan.   The minimum required CGPA score is 3.0 or 65% for BE and B.Sc. candidates and for M.S degree holders the CGPA score should be 3.0 / 65%.  The age limit is 28 years.  Height of the candidates must be in the range of 5 Feet & 4 Inches. 

General Duty Pilot in Pakistan Air Force(GDP)

This is the most attractive branch for youth and a test to fly fighter air craft, flying in the heights of the sky and protect the aerial borders of the country. Two years academic qualification of B.Sc. is provided to the selected candidate in PAF academy Risalpur.  Successfully completing the B.Sc. course, the cadets are trained for one and a half years in the field of air flying.  At the end of this training period cadets are commissioned as pilot officer in Air Force giving them B.Sc. (engineering) degree.

Pakistan Navy Civilian Jobs in Karachi

Medical:
